I have an LT1 T56 in my 87 T/A. The car runs ok but not to it's full potential. It took a turn for the worse a few months ago. The car starts and idles just fine, but when I pull onto the road and give it some gas it wants to stall and buck. When it's doing this the engine is cutting on and off. Any ideas ? Thanks

 

Take a look at the fuel pressure as the problem occurs. Get a fuel pressure gage with a hose and run it to the windshield and tape it on. Be sure it doesn't drop below about 38 psi.
