Engine Connectors and DLC Wiring

I'm wiring back together a 97 T/A and I have some questions. I have an OBD2 engine harness but it's missing quite a few pigtails. I'm wondering where I can find a schmatic that tells me the orientation of the MAF and Coil wiring. Last time I got pigtails for the CPS all the wires were white so I can't just match up the colors. I have a wiring diagram from Shoebox and my Haynes manual so I know what wires I need, just don't know the orientation to the connector.

I noticed that the connectors on the RH shock tower get power from the fuse box on the LH side of the car. Do I need to run fused power to the connections on the RH shock tower for the appropriate sensors and such? I'm guessing I do so the PCM will get power.

On the DLC, I've traced all the wires I need so I can still use the DLC for inspection and diagnostic purposes, but I want to make sure that out of the 16 pins, only 2, 4, 5, 6, 9, 16 are used. I notice that 8 is marked to the keyless entry system, is it necessary to pass inspection? Will it hurt anything to not have it?

Thanks!

All that info is on my site. The A,B,C...cavities are shown and the plugs themselves have that marked on them.

If a wire says it is supposed to get power from so and so fuse, then wire it to the fuse that is supposed to be powering it (am I missing something?)

The wire for the keyless is not used on 96-97.

You're not missing anything, but my car has ZERO wiring in it except for the engine/trans harness I just put in. I have no fuse box or anything so I'm trying to figure out what I need to get the car started and AutoTap hooked up so I can see what's going on and of course so someone can adjust the tune.

I looked on your website and all I could find was OBD1 stuff. I know the MAF is the same, but the coil isn't. I'll check again later after I get back from the kids football practice.

Nearly all the PCM wiring and sensor stuff is the same. There is also a 96-97 ignition schematic.

Can someone confirm that the coil connector only has two wires? According to this schematic I only need the pink and dark green wires, but the coil has three prongs and the connector is a three prong.

Sounds like you have a 94-95 setup with the dual-connector coil, but you are using the wiring diagram from a 96-97 single-connector coil:

It's a 96/97

IIRC from my 97 Camaro, it's a three wire connector and the coil has three prongs. Sorry for the questions and confusion, but I'm working with a hacked up harness.

A 93-95 has a coil with 3 pins, and requires a "dual" (one part gray, one part black) harness connector to match. A 96-97 has a coil with 2 pins, and reuires a "single" harness connector to match. Can't really explain it any more clearly than that.

Look at the 96-97 wiring diagram you posted..... 2 pins, A and B.

Ok, thanks. I was just looking for confirmation that the 96-97 coil only uses two wires even though it uses a 3-way connector and the coil itself has three prongs. I didn't realize one of them was not used.

Do you know if it uses the same metri-pack connector as the MAF?

MAF and Coil connector are not the same Metricpack 150.
