emissions/headers question

i just got done doing my test about 20 mins ago, i passed. i have stock exhaust manifolds and stock cat with SLP Loudmouth catback. What headers can i get away with and still pass emissions, here are my numbers

HC - standard is 0.124 i was at 0.075
CO- standaers are .693 im at .573

car was decently warm and all that, motor has 112700 miles on in.. are shorties all i can pass with or can i get some midlenghts?

I'd go with some mid-length emission legal headers. I beleive MAC and AS&M makes these. Maybe some other brands, but these are the ones I know of.

You need long tubes with the AIR pump provision, i think. I passed without though.

You can't pass because you'd be using a Y-pipe that changes the location of the cats.

How does changing the location of the location of the cats change your emmissions...

Well, it's illegal to change the location of the cats. At least in some states...

BTW, here's a good deal on some shortys if you're interested. The y-pipe probably won't work for you though....

I live in CA. I just got here and had to have my car smog'd. I have BBK 1 5/8 shorty's, stock cats, and flowmaster. I passed with flying colors. I can't remember the numbers, the sheet is in my car and I'm too lazy to go get it, but I was way clean the guy said. Just make sure that you keep everything connected. He seemed to be overly concerned about my EGR. Damn picky people!!!!

Later,
Jason
