How about head lights? If no head lights you may have a bad battery ground. Check you cable connections at the batttery terminals. They may be corroded and cannot make contact.

If your headlights work and nothing in the dash comes on, it's probably the ignition switch (replacement guide on my website). In a pinch, try flicking the key back and and forth and maybe it will catch. You can also try thumping on the steering wheel pretty hard to try to get the switch to make contact.

And...even if the battery is new, it can still be too dead to start even though enough juice for the radio, etc. Get a jump.

i have no power on the gagues fuse. why would the sterweo come on in the run position but no dash lights? fuse is good and the fuse links all test good by the battery. is it pointing towards ignition switch? the pass key has already been bypassed with a resistor by the previous owner.

1. its $129 for the premium (which is what im quoteing since its the closest to match what your said)
2. Its five service calls of up to 100 miles per member and extending one remaining service call up to 200 miles per household. Addictional milage at AAA perferd rates.

I may or may not think its worth it. Just stateing the facts.

If your car is modded with more than just bolt-ons and no tow vehicle is owned then hell yes it's worth it.

Its gettin towed to the shop. I cant figure out whats wrong with it. Maybe there is an electrical gremlin in it whatever it is I cant find anything. This car is frustrating me to death. I feel like selling it and getting an 02 SS......

I feel like I bought a lemon.....had the car since july and so far have replaced the waterpump, opti, plugs, wires, radiator fan, top fuel rail, plastic fuel line that comes through the fenderwell, low coolant sensor, ac compressor fell off one day, and countless headaches....

I don't know how much longer I can put up with this breakdown every other month crap. i'm almost afraid to drive it out of town due to that.

Could we just stick to the OP's question, rather than debating the value of AAA towing coverage.

I'm betting on the ignition switch. It's a common failure item on the 4th gen.

if u have small hands u may be able to reach up and grab the connectors to the ignition switch and wiggle em around and see if the car starts or even disconect the connector and look and see if its burnt up. thats what the problem was on my car. i was able to reach up and disconect it and saw the wires were burnt and poor terminal contact
