eliminating traction control

eliminating traction control
well im about to go and order the cable for eliminating this (#12554852). i heard that a light will show up after i do this. can i get it tuned out somehow if it shows??? and what do i need to do besides rip the solenoid out and install the cable?? is there like a connection that i need to cover up or disconnect?
