Hey DSIM..... Is it just me or does the CSI one look harder to install. Did you have to do all that wiring too? He looks like he had way more wiring. My motor is outta my car so should be way easier.

You don't have to install the lights, etc. like Ken did in that install guide. I used it when I did my CSI with the cam. Works great, very well done guide. No problems with my CSI on a daily driver for nearly a year and a half now.

All I did was put the blue wire in where the Meziere install guide (the link I provided) says, and ground the black wire. Whenever my key is on, the water pump is on.

I put a CSI in my car in April and from day one it ran hotter than the stock pump, Everyone i talked to including CSI said this wa sbecause the pump flowed so good that the coolant did not sit in the radiator long enough for it to cool. After trying various remedies including sensors, stats, and restrictor plates nothing helped it. About a month ago the damn thing poped the inline fuse and stopped working and the car boiled over within seconds, I replaced the fuse and got it home. After checking the wiring and finding nothing wrong i drove it around and it poped the fuse 3 more times. After that i installed a 30amp relay along with the fuse and drove around, The fuse did not pop this time but the pump burnt up and seized. From what i figure the pump was bad from the get go but of course talking to CSI that was just impossible, They made it sound like there was no possible way the pump was bad from the start. ps: There customer service sucks, I work at a speed shop and sell these things and they were dicks to me when i called with problems.

I since then installed a new factory pump which i wound up doing twice because the wp drive seal leaked from not having a load on it and then putting a load back on it. What total pain in the ***, I was so pissed but luckily i did not hurt the engine from overheating.

I would never run an electric pump on a street car again for the fact that when it go's out your screwed, The car will overheat within seconds after the pump stops. At least with a factory pump you will see sepage from the pupm so you have some warning.

ps: I sent the pump back 3 weeks ago and have not heard a word about from CSI, I want my money back CSI!

i beg to agree and disagree. the directions that come with the csi do suck but i fell that there customer service is pretty good. i called them because i wasnt sure how the pump sealed agains the water pump and thought mine didnt come with the proper gasket. by the end of the week i had two new gaskets for my water pump with a note saying just incase. i dont know how the service could be better. but i would not put an electric pump on my daily driver again

I got a Meziere and i love it! i hooked mine up to the ignition fuse and from there ran a relay switch off that. Its great the second i turn the key to the fprward position the pumps kicks right on! Keeps my 97 running cool! Another nice cooling mod is the SLP fan switch, no wire hacking involed just plug and play, well worth the $$!

its not worth it. ive had mine for over a year and i dont see more pros than cons.its nice to have but its not one of those things that you can install and forget about. if you do it then you should put a bypass switch and a light in. that way if one of you conections come loose you will know before it is too late. its your car and your choice. but for a car that is going to be in every day driving conditions its not worth it if something goes wrong. i bet ive thought of taking it out more than i thought about putting it in

Well one more time....to whom ever stated that CSI's customer service sucks is adead nuts right! You were lucky that they called you back, I wrote them asnd called twice with nothing, nada!!!
Hopfully if someone is going to make a decision on water pumps they will NOT use CSI because of there lack of customer service.

As far as the instructions supplied with the CSI I say WHAT INSTRUCTIONS!!! Ive done five pumps and have bought two spares, and none of them came with any instructions. This is B.S..
Thanks to the instructions supplied on this forum I was able to install the first one.

Why buy CSI? Because at $135.00 it is $65.00 bucks cheaper than brand "M".

Too bad some of the powers to be at CSI dont read this forum and find out how people feel about the product they sell, because we know they will never find out through the customer service department.
