Electric Water Pump or stock
i dont' think the mezerie is made out of plastic, but i could be wrong.
they are both great pumps and both require some modification to be installed. the mezerie you have to but back the fan shroud and i'm not quite sure with the csi.
the electric pumps flow constant and more than the stock pump did. the stock pump is cam driven and you will free up around 5 rwhp when you switch over. also you can run the electric water pump when the car is off. i would go electric, but that's me.

Here's an actual dyno of going w/ the Mez Elec WP over a stock pump:

Just scroll down to the bottom, 10 rwhp and 11 rwtq. The higher you rev, the higher gains you will get. For example, if you have a cammed car, you might see a couple more ponies on top of that dyno because of the higher engine revs. But remember every car is different, some may just see 5, others 15. Just all depends.
So it's not a bad mod. The greatest thing about it is between passes at the track, you park your car for 2 mins, and have your fans on high and your coolant circulating, and your engine is cooled off a fairly decent amount before your next run.
And it's not made of plastic, again I say, It's aluminum.
And yes you have to trim the fan shroud, that took me all of 5 mins to do. Don't let that stop you from getting the Mez. Overall I am happy w/ the product. It's only been on 2 weeks, but I did notice a SOTP difference w/ that pump over a stock pump.

personally i'd go with the mezerie over the csi and i will eventually. will any of the csi ppl post what they had to modify to install the pump. i have a dyno of a 96 WS6 stock and then with the mezerie and he gained 6.2 rwhp.

You have to grind (or file) in I think four areas of the stock pump housing for the CSI to fit. It takes all of about 15 minutes to do and is really no big deal. I am not sure why they make you do this, it seems unecessary to me, but what ever. I have had my CSI on my daily driver for over a year and have been very happy with it. I will probably never have a stock pump on my car again.
Well, I made my decision. It really wasn't hard when this situation came up.
On of my friends had a Meizere brand new still in the box and he decided not to use it so I got it for $100.
Just finished putting the pump in the housing, very easy install on that part.I am going to put the pump back on the car tomorrow.
Thanks to everyone that replied with an opinion
