i had to replace the turn signal switch, and ever since than ive had this problem. the buzzer that goes off when the key is in the ignition and the door is open goes off whenever the key is in the iginition. checked hatch, and the doors. they are all tight.

 

sounds like you might have damadged or jared the chime contacts when you were inthe coulum. it;s the peice that slides in right under the key tumbler. . lemme get a pic




EDIT.. the pic http://shbox.com/1/steering_column_exploded.jpg I belive from what I can see it;s number 16. you might have someting jamed into it or it;s dislodged.
