Those free gaskets you get, blow ***... but they're good enough for what they are meant for. I used the Felpro ones that came with my gasket set. That's all you need though. Like 69vette said... do a search on ebay for LT1 EGR blockoffs. Be sure to get the 3 piece kit while you're at it.

Well i dont need em for the headers, just the intake. I was going to order the block off plate and the gasket off of gmpartsdirect.com. While im at it what kinda gaskets you guys using when doing heads/cam. Also what bolts? I seen they have a heads/cam gasket set for like 2 something on thunderracing. Also do you guys on replace the head bolts?

I used Felpro gaskets and ARP bolts. It is recommended to replace the bolts... but... on my previous rebuild I torqued the stock bolts back down and never had a problem over the next 40k.

Stock head bolts shouldn't be reused, buy a set of ARP head bolts. When I did mine, I reused my intake bolts, ARP head bolts, and stock LT1 gaskets all around, except the header gasket, used felpro 1406 for that.

Also you'll need the first kit from SJM for your egr blockoff.

The pump will come with a freeze plug. Just leave the cam drive in there, or else you'll have to remove a lot more ****.

Plug the w/p housing where the cam drive went through with the supplied freeze plug.
