why would you think you have to remove intake? just reach your hand back there and unbolt it...

Is there anything you have to do so you don't throw codes? Some electrical stuff is messed up with my car, codes are for EGR and EVAP, but I think they are functional, just not getting power or something. If that turns out to be the problem.. I should just take it out instead of buying a new system from the dealer for it..

I would remove egr before replacing it through dealer.$$$ If you have an OBD2 computer it may give ses light. OBD1 shouldn't give any codes.

Just remember to block off the openings in the back of the intake and on the exhaust. I just had a friend weld up the ends of the tube after cutting off about an inch from each fitting. He also welded my cut-out in my off-road pipe, expanding the flare ends to fit over the cut-out. Bitched about the ceramic coating spitting like crazy as he welded it.
