!egr question..

I was told to put a resistor on the plug that goes into the egr solenoid.. how do I go about doing this and picking the right resistor?
thanks!

Why r u removing the EGR? Unless something is wrong with it you should just leave it on or you could have it tuned out. www.pcmforless.com can tune it out if you want to.

You might want to add a signature so that we know what kind of car you have and what mods have been done.

I had the famous LT1 intake manifold leak so I just deleted it when I had the intake off.

p.s. is the sig better now? lol
and you didn't answer the question that I asked.. I know I can have it tuned out.

Incorrect... if you unplug the EGR vacuum solenoid in OBD-I you get DTC 27 for a faulty electrical circuit. To determine the correct resistor value, measure the ohms across the pins of the existing solenoid. Match that. Push the wire ends of the resistor into the harness connector so they make contact with the two pins in the connector, and tape it up.

His suggestion that you add a signature was a valid one.... not sure why you reacted the way you did. Its a lot easier to help you when you have that information available.

Thanks for the help.
I know it was a valid suggestion, and I wasn't trying to be ignorant at all?
I apologize if it seemed that way.
