This thread aint mute. The reason I took mine out and there is a company that just makes plates for it is that a lot of people do it. Not for performance but just on the fact alone that it takes up a crap load of space in the engine compartment and make it look like a fargen mess.

 

I was just on the www.TPIS.com web site, they sell the block off plates. I threw a code 32 on my scanmaster so I am debating on wether or not i should get block off plates or buy a new egr valve. My A.I.R. pump went a few years ago so i disconected it and pulled the fuse and the code went away! I have not noticed any gain however!

 

SKY the EGR valve. You probably got a leaking one. Block it off or eventually it will only leak again. Got mine from SJM for like 30 bones. As for your air pump... you wont get any gains, and you wont get any from the EGR rem. either. Its an emissions thing.

 

if your headers dont have emmissions stuff on them, then you only need the factory LT4 EGR blockoff plate, which you can get from a dealer for $10 or less, i ordered mine from jason cromer.
