I just finished installing my long tubes no emissions. I took the tube off of the back of the intake that goes to the passenger side manifold can i get away with leaving the egr on or do i need to remove it too?

Dam you dirty dog........how you gonna go and get long tubes ....Now I'm gonna be the slowest **** out at the track. What ones did you end up going with btw? Well dang now I might have to dig deep into the ole pockets to keep up with yo ***! about your question, I took my air pump and pipe to pass. manifold and plugged my manifolds and left the egr on for now and it doesnt seem to be having any problems. I have a tune coming this week and an egr blockoff plate waiting for me at the dealer, so next week I'm gonna take it all off. You plan on going to muncie next Friday? or are you gonna wait till Dan gets his broke down pos back together

The "red rocket" a pos! I'll run your car anytime you want it mark. We can even play a little game called guess the car lengths in between. I guess I can take you by about 8 to 120mph.

I wanna go to muncie but I don't know If my tune up will be done. I got the pace setters they were only like $550 for coated long tubes and a ory pipe I thought it was a good deal. They went in really easy too. We got both of em in from the top, took a little motor lifting but it wasn't bad.

Thats sweet man, where did you order them from? I think that will be the next thing I do is Pacesetter headers, but I'm thinking I wanna go with a true dual setup just for the sound mainly. Where did you order your tune from? I ordered mine on Friday and Ion at madz28.com told me that he would priority mail it out on monday, so it should be here for sure by thursday or friday at the latest.....cause he lives in illinois. I think I'm gonna say screw the gears for now and just go ahead and get some longtubes.....but the thing with me is I would end up having to replace the o2 sensors, wires, plugs, get o2 sensor extenders, get a x pipe, get bullet mufflers and then have the rest of the exhaust custom welded up. That all adds up.....I just wouldnt feel right without replacing all the o2 sensors and plugs and wires....so who knows, by the end of the summer I should have my exhaust done.

As long as the EGR valve is sealing ok, you can just leave it on there and it will act like a block off plate. You must disable the vacuum to it, though. Pull the vacuum hose off the port that feeds the EGR solenoid (on the side of the intake manifold). Put a little vacuum cap on the intake manifold side.

I don't think he really wanted his question answered..... the whole thread was little more than some idle chit-chat between a small group of friends..... I think you wasted your time. Not sure why people do this.

It was a legitimate question.....I just live close to him and saw that he had his longtubes put in and was bs'ing a little. I know all the bs'ing part wasnt exactly lt1 tech related, so im sorry bout that.
