Cheapest performance upgrades

I've been looking around and I'm wondering what the cheapest, most efficient performance upgrades for my 1996 Camaro Z28 would be. I've already got Flowmaster exhaust, hypertech programmed, and a K&N air filter. What would be next? A cold air intake? Do throttle body by-passes really do that much? Some are so cheap on ebay that it makes me think it almost has to be a gimmick. Also, what about these "cold air power chips" that I see on ebay. They're all very cheap and make huge claims of "up to 20HP!"

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33597 for example. What is up with those?

Would this SS air intake sensor do anything for me?

Basically I'm wondering what works and what doesn't. There are so many things out there and it's a little confusing as to what I can trust. Thanks.

If I were you I'd de-program the Hypertech, sell it on eBay and get pcmforless or Madz28 tuning. You will definitely feel the difference, plus you'd come out about even after you sell the Hypertech programmer. Others will probably recommend a 3.73 4.10 axle gear or CAI which you can't go wrong either.

Gears, Stall Converter (if A4), Better tires, CAI, Headers, Cutout, Free Mods.

Do All Bolts on first and your car will be fast.

A performance axle would be NICE, as I have 2.73 gears in it right now. Only thing is that gas is like $2 per gallon. How much of a difference would there be to my gas mileage if I put 3.73 gears in it? Right now I'm getting around 20 if I don't hotrod it, 26 on the highway.

My mileage didnt change any with the 3.73. You have to turn more rpm, but its less load on the motor. Sort of a give/take deal.

They are. Do a search on here and you will get very good info on what those mods do and how you can do them for Free! Check for IAT sensor, throttle body bypass and descreening the MAF. You will come up with a ton of info. It's up to you to weigh the risks. There have been a hundred posts on "should I or shouldn't I" just search.

Off Shoebox's site: Throttle Body Bypass = Free
Great thread explaining a lot!

I hope this helps
