Edelbrock LT4 Intake - In catalogs
good luck, LT4 intakes have been discontinued, so prices went through the roof($700+)

I got it from right here off of this board. Paid $650 shipped for the intake and it had a set of polished fuel rails on it with an adjustable FPR also. I sold that for $120. Not too bad honestly. You can get one for about the same if not cheaper. The E-bay prices are comming down and they are not all going for that $700+ price anymore. You just have to be patient. I was trying to buy one for about 3 months. I was bidding on them and trying to buy here and other sites. I stuck to my guns and eventually got one for my price.
Doesnt supprise me. They have been pushing the relese date back by a month or 2 since April. Thats when I started e-mailing them on a regualr basis to get one.
They told me "next month", next month would come and I would e-mail them and I got "late spring" as a reply. next thing I know it was October and they still didnt have a release date so I went out and bought an LT4...
Guys, they debued this thing at SEMA.... LAST YEAR!!! I was there and saw it then. I didnt go this year and its stil not out. I'll be supprised if you see it before summer honestly...

Have you or anyone put a LT4 intake gasket on a LT1 Gasket/Manifold to see the magnitude of the difference between the two? I may be naive but I just can't see paying an exorbitant price for the LT4 intake when the LT1 is only about .100 (tenth of an inch) different. Historically, lots of head porters have no problem applying epoxy on exposed ports due to massive porting and that works just fine. If no one has placed the two gaskets (LT1/LT4), I'll buy the LT4 gasket (I already have brand new set of GM LT1 gaskets), place them together, take a pic and post it here.
And as 2000GTP mentioned, it might be a better bang for the buck to have LE or AI do up a stock manifold. I know that's where I would spend my money.

sure am glad I got mine when I did...I couldn't imagine w aiting for a product to be realeased that has no official date. I'm guess there is some type of design flaw thats holding it back. I'd rather bite the bullet and pick up an OEM GM LT4 intake.

LT1 gasket on the bottom, and an LT4 race gasket on top. A lot bigger port opening. And to think the stock Lt1 port is actually smaller than the gasket. My heads and intake are both opened up to this gasket.

Stock LT4 port compared to an LT4 race gasket:

after porting with an LT4 race gasket:

oh, an yeah I ported those myself. I have alot more respect for porters now.

I kind of like the fact that its there in case the car comes down hard after it pulls the wheels
