Edelbrock LT4 Intake - In catalogs
Summit makes it a RULE to put shipdates in and repeatedly move them back, do not get your hopes up. For reference look into the MSD opti they started listing ship dates in late summer and it was the following spring before one ever shipped, heck it was spring before MSD themselves were testing on cars.
Edelbrock LT4 Intake - In catalogs
Its about time, I was on edelbrocks web sight and they had 2007 sneek peek at the knew stuff that was coming out, and there it was
(Lt4 intake). then i went to JEGs web sight, and it came up for $475.00
as a new item Part #7109 http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...0002_131720_-1

Yep. Even the LT1 intake must be port matched to the LT1 heads. Someone really needs to do a back to back dyno comparison.
Yeah, I would like to see such a comparison. Will the cost of the LT1 intake be 475.00 as well? Depending on what it costs and what gains it offers, it would be much cheaper to just have your stock manifold ported and probably see the same gains.

i wonder what Fred does, and if it can be helped significantly over the lt1/lt4 intake by porting
""My question is, how much does the "air gap" reduce the plenum volume, which is one of the weak points of the stocker.
I'm also not sure how longer runners will increase power, since making the runners longer will generally enhance low end torque, not peak HP. Look at the L98.... more torque than an LT1, but runs out of breath at 5,000rpm."""

Well the L-98 took things I think overboard with a 21 inch long intake runner.
The stock LT1 runner is too short, it needs to be about an inch or 2 longer so a slightly longer runner is welcome, now plenum size , thats another matter , we all know the LT1 needs more plenum volume. If you take all the EGR stuff off of the Factory intake I'll bet the volume is less than the edelbrock peice.
