It also said in the article, that they made their pulls in second gear .
When I had an auto I made pulls in third. Third is 1 to 1 right?
I'm glad they post the results. I just think its funny how they always have excuses as to why their cars never make the power or run the number.

Yeah this just makes L.E. look even better yet, wouldn't have thought that was possible. Edelbrock has some great products, their carb intakes are nice put one on a '84 PU with 305 and it did make a definete difference. I think the difference is today the OEMs are leaving A LOT less room for improvement yet the aftermarket has to sell stuff to stay in buissiness so you end up with parts like this and magazines need advertizers so they end up promoting the crap the aftermarket builds.

 

Seems to me that the GOW car had headers on it also? If so these numbers are really sad.

 

The only thing interesting about that article is that near the end of it they made it seem as if Edelbrock has some larger heads on the horizon for LT1s....I kind of doubt it, but if they made some Victor Jr style heads in a LT1 configuration and priced them right, then they would have a real winner.
