Edelbrock Heads?

What do you guys think about these heads? Considering that they are cheaper than the LT4's, are they worth the money? If I end up getting these heads, I will be running them with the cc305 cam. Do you guys think that this is a good match for a head and cam package? Thanks for any info, Tom

Does Edelbrock have a flow sheet for them?

Those numbers look very similar to the numbers TPIS got for the stock LT4 heads. CHP magazine got slightly higher numbers than those for the stock LT4's and Morgan Motorsports got a bit less.... seems to vary.

But the Edelbrocks don't look like any "breakthrough".

I bought a set of new LT4 heads on ebay for 600.00. But that was a fluke. Yes they where good. I have them installed now after sending them to a shop to be ported and polished and installing race flow valves in them.

I am not sure on this but doesnt the LT4 heads and hot cam combo give up to 125 hp (in a perfect world)
Edelbrocks is saying as much as if not up too 73.1 hp. So you still get a little more with the LT4 heads. The cams for both kits are pretty close to the same specs.

What I was thinking was, if the Edelbrocks flow as much as LT4 heads, and the LT4 conversion costs $2500, subtract the cam and rockers and you have about $2000 for the LT4 heads. But, I forgot that there's an LT4 intake thrown in too. Oops.

Like most aftermarket castings.. it isnt what it does out of the box that I'd be worried about, it's what kind of potential the things have .

Trick Flow LT1 Aluminum Cylinder Heads are $1,295.00 at summit racing for a pair, part# TFS-30400010. Intake runner 195cc/ exhaust 75 cc and are 64cc.

I think they are better for a 383 motor $ to value. I am thinking to get them to complete my 383, cc306 combo.

Trick flows may be a good solution for a stroker project where you can take care of the loss of compresion during the build but the 64cc chambers are a killer for a standard motor set up for 54cc chambers.
