I just did this as well, Installed the 6602's. Got them from ebay for $225.

Yes you do have to weld the flange on to the Y-pipe. I also sent mine to Jet Hot for $200 and got them coated. They did a beautiful job - well worth the money.

The sound is great. Very impressive running out the SLP LoudMouth.

I can't really speak of gains though, I dropped a set of Motive Performance 3.73's in at the same time. The combo though is great.

for all of you guys, did you install this your self? if yes, how did you get it welded? i dont have any welding machine.....so what do i have to do now?

first thing: stop panicking

Just install them, cut the cat off the old Y-pipe and throw it in the trunk. Drive down to your local exhaust shop making sure to avoid any police stations and have them weld it up. Shouldn't cost you any more than $40 or so. Mine cost $65 cause I had them rethread some bolts and the idiots there decided to cut the y-pipe to fit instead of unbolting the rest of the exhaust and moving it backwards

that's what i thought.....i was really panic alright, i bought these headers with credit card, and i have to pay monthly, just dont want my headers to go to waste......thanks a lot man
