ED Timing chain. How many miles on it and how many issues?

It seems there is a hit and miss with the ED timing chain. SOme love it or some have them break on the water pump gear. I am curious how many miles everyone has with it and/or any breakeage with it?

Some of the problem is not changing the little WP gear.Another problem is that an LT-1 has a very small hole in the both front lifter galley plug's to lube the gear and chain. When the engine is rebuilt they put SBC plug's in there that have no holes and the gear get's NO lube.So most of the problems are assembly related and not the fault of the timing set.

INteresting. I did notice the two plugs up there. They didnt look very big, but looked identical to the plugs in the "how to Build a LT1/4 motor"

They are about the size of a dime and are pretty close to the outer diameter of the cam sprocket(one on each side). and should have 1 hole each about the size of a sewing needle in them.If they don't change them.

They had little holes in them. SO they should be good.
