Do not buy either. They are trash. Pony up and get it from the dealer or from MSD.

-Advance Auto Parts has a CarDone Distributor with cap and rotor for $219.99

-Summit has LT1 Distributor with cap and rotor included. for $249.95
Just Cap and Rotor for summit is $115.95.

Everyone tells me to get the whole deal instead of just a cap and rotor.

"thepartsladi" (ebay store) sells genuine AC Delco optis, new in the box. I got mine for $260 shipped. Came in an AC Delco box in about a week. No codes or problems for over 2k miles.

I was j/thinking if they weren't junk. itd be a cheap way to know if i j/ needed the cap and rotor or the whole deal. i've seen all the threads on bad optis on ebay, i didn't know if the caps and rotors were any different. is it the cap and rotor on the allignition optis that aren't any good or is it the optical section??? or a combination

Get a A/C Delco unit. I wouldn't take any chances with the one on Ebay.

The one from thepartsladi is an AC Delco. Search the forums, you will see many good posts about this ebay store.

I just checked their store, they're out of the Delco's right now, but that is one of the best places to get an OEM opti

Delphi's are OEM too. See if they have those.

Alot of people end up wishing they had replaced the whole unit instead of just the cap and rotor.
