Re: Easy question.

Stock stroke, stock crank, just a .030" overbore with oversized pistons.

Re: Easy question.

how much would it run typically if a shop did it for you? also including a fresh block with the machine work, rebuilt and all? i recently got a quote for a 355ci from carolina auto masters for a little more then $4000 to get a freshy built 355ci installed and tuned. is that a good price?

Re: Easy question.

yea ram said a 355 is all stock components except for the pistons and it being bored so it would be. im going to be getting it done myself also. im just gonna get C.A.M to do it for me they supply the entire shortblock for free and take mine and im going to give them all the boltons and the cam and heads and they do the rest for me. there asking around $4000. they have to do a tune also or they will have no way to warranty the work they have done.

Re: Easy question.

i have a family friend that is doing a long block for me, and the only reason im doing a long block is because its cheaper that way.. hes buying all the gaskets, cam, springs, etc, and boring it out .30 over, along with redoing my heads, and putting it all back together for about 1,700! sounds pretty good to me..

It gets bored 0.030" over = 4.030" diameter bore. Not .30

Bore and stroke are the only factors in engine displacement calculation.
