easist way to install heads and cam??

Option 1: Leave the motor in and pull off all the needed stuff and do the heads/cam this way.

Option 2: Get the biotch on a hoist and pull of the entire front end (motor, front suspension, wheels, tranny, ect) and then go to town while the motor is out of the car

ps. I have access to a hoist so option 2 can happen. However, I don't really have much knowledge when it comes to doing heads and a cam on an LT1 so with each option can you guys list what items would need to come off of the car??

Thanks alot guys!

Option #1. Buy a Haynes and/or Chilton and go from there. Take your time and everything will go well.

I vote option #2. I was gonna do your option #1 then the night after I got done pulling the heads off the car, I literally woke up the next morning and said I was gonna do it right. Get the bottom end done, it's a couple hundred extra bucks well spent.

Heads and cam is such a back killer. If you have the tools then you should seriously consider dropping the motor out the bottom. 99% of the hang ups during that kinda work are all because of the cramped work space.
