I tried to do that with a 95 S-10 and it had something to prevent that. Not sure about our cars, but it would make sense if they had it too.

make a test lead or jumper wire that you can power the fuel pump with and take them fuel lines off, and power the pump. should drain right out. although i used a hose w/ a shrader valve on it and put it onto the shrader valve on the fuel rail and drained it that way.

Good Luck,

Nick

Drill a hole in the bottom of the gas tank.

Honestly, I'd try going to the store and getting a siphoning kit or something.

if you think someone has put something harmful in your gas tank you may not want to run it through your fuel lines/pump/filter/etc...honestly, if the car does have a siphoning prevention screen your probably going to have to pull the tank and clean it out...actually, either way your probably going to have to do that, since just draining it is going to leave whatever it is on the bottom of the tank to get swirled up the next time you put gas in it.

That's exactly what I was gonna say. It is the easiest. But seriously if you think something harmful is in your tank I'd look into switching the tank altogether. Even if you clean it out who knows what might still be in there. Just a thought.

If you didn't have stuff in your fuel tank I'de suggest driving it. Lol.
That's the quickest tway to drain the tank on a Firebird/Camaro.

siphoning on our tanks aren't easy. i tried it when i dropped my tank to put in my new fuel pump. i think there are some sort of baffles in the tank which are damn near impossible to get past with a hose. so i just dropped it as is cause there was very little gas in it. i just made sure i was very careful.

just my 2 cents
