Angry Bent Rim Lip

Hey fellas!

Need your advise on this. Hit a nice deep pothole yesterday. Immediatelly noticed that outter lip is bent by abount 10 dgrs and the bent itself is about 1.5" in length. Drove 2 miles to a local tire shop to check the wheel out. The only thing the guy did was rebalancing. He said that unless the tire starts loosing pressure not to worry about it. The only thing Im worried about at this point is hitting anothe hole and having a buble on the tire or, even worse, having it deflated.
In your opinion, is it worth having this wheel straighten out? - I havent noticed any wobble on the way home. Anyone tried the hammer method??? With mine, I think, it would be easy to correct. However, I dont want to crack or anth...

I was able to find a few places online that do rim repairs, none in my area, however. Does anybody know any such places in NYC area?

Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about it, and deffiantly not hammer on it. You might want to check your alignment too. No worries if it's not loosing air or vibrating.

I've had a flat spot on my rim for 3 years now after going up a curb. Never a problem.
