I took my block in today and was pricing some splayed main caps. I can get the Eagles for around 100.00 and any other brand jumps up to double that. The Eagles are steel. Will these be plenty strong for up to around 750 crank horse? I hate to start cutting corners on this project but im running out of money. They are going to use the Eagles unless I call them and tell them otherwise. Thanks

 

The bolts that come with them suck IMHO. No ground flat washers and they are not the strongest things in the world so toss them. The caps are also pretty hard and not the easiest things to machine. Also the drill bushing that comes with them is not the best drill bushing i've ever seen. They are a deal price wise but I don't think labor wise they are.
