Dyno Results....Need help

Finally got the car on the dyno and it wasn't good. Best pull netted only 261.28 HP and 284.20 tq at the wheels. I know this is pretty low considering I've seen people on here with bone stock LT1's putting down close to those numbers. I don't really know how to analyze these graphs so any help would be appreciated. You can see that the car is running lean through the entire run, but would that account for this kind of power loss? I was expecting to see around 270-280rwhp and at least 300rwtq. Mods are in the sig but pretty much all the car has got is CAI and full exhaust(the runs were made the the cutout open). Plugs, wires, air filter, and fuel filter have all been replaced within the last year along with a new opti and the delteq system. Also, I just installed the racetronix Walbro 255 pump a few weeks ago.O2's are the only things I havent replaced yet, the car has 87,xxx on the clock. Gas mileage is fine (15-18mpg city) and driveability seems great. Can't feel any misses or hesitation and there isnt any knock retard while datalogging. I thought the car was running strong and it seems to pull well, but the graph says different. I can only imagine what it would feel like if I got the hp and tq I'm missing back. Any Ideas?

Here is the graph. http://community.webshots.com/photo/...9805322ceBJNX#

what kind of dyno....are they corrected numbers?

with headers you should be in the 280 range...could be the o2s are reading bad.

hard to say

It was a dynojet and I'm pretty sure it is corrected. On another note the car didn't have much time to cool down between runs. But I'm not sure this accounts for the power loss.

Have you ever had the injectors cleaned? Many years of cooking the fuel inside the injectors after the engine is shut down takes its toll on buildup inside the injectors. 3M makes a fine on the rail system that I have used for many years. Otherwise you can remove them and have them sonicly cleaned and flow matched.

Try cleaning the MAF. You're running 14:1 a/f at 5500 RPM which is about where your car will peak. You are missing a lot of power due to the lean condition. A dirty MAF can cause the car to run lean like that. Also check for vacuum leaks. The lean condition is killing your torque down low as well. Torque likes fuel.

Considering that a stock 94, A4 would be in the 235 range, I's say you are doing quite well with a gain of 30 RWHP. Get a tune and you should be good to go. JMHO

Don't worry man, i have about the same mods as you and i only dyno'd 275hp and 306tq. Get a laptop and scan the computer to see if you have any other problems. Possibly knock retard or something of that nature. Maybe the O2's are out of wack. Good luck man, but don't feel bad

Re: Dyno Results....Need help

Well, I put a new set of custom wires on the car this weekend and pulled a few plugs while I was at it.....the car is def running lean, the plugs don't even look like they've been used, they're white. I also cleaned my MAF and it was very very dirty, I noticed the car seems a little more responsive and might have picked up a little power but I'm sure the car is still running lean. I guess I'll have to get a tune.
