I don't go driving around at WOT but I don't drive like a granny either. I do both city and highway driving. Plus I keep the revs over 2000 rpm when driving, the cam is too soft under 1500rpm. Even with 4.11s I only use 6th gear on the highway.
But hey, if I was worried about gas milage, I would have bought a Honda Civic

- Colder plugs are better for high compression engines, not just nitrous and supercharger applications. My heads were milled quite a bit before I bought them plus I'm using a thinner head gasket.
- You want to run the next colder plug for every 75-100hp you make over stock.
- Run the coldest plug you can get away with without fouling.
I'll switch to NGK TR6s and go from there.
well i got 150 on about half a tank today so it is not to bad. Mixed driving leaning towards steady 40MPH driving. a few burn outs and WOT runs to 120MPH.
BTW I run TR6 plugs. seams to work well at 11.0:1

Whats good exactly? I got 17-19MPG average with my setup, since it was mostly semi-stop and go I never saw in the 20s.

That is not very good for a newer truck. Take my old 89 GMC longbed with a 166K 305 which still gets 15-16 mpg. When I bought it with 113K, I was getting 20-21 mpg.
Now it also has no acceleration either, so I guess there is a trade off.
