Dyno numbers sucked butt....

I have a 95 LT1/T-56 with mods in sig and went to the dyno. Well, I only dynoed 235 rwhp and 289 rw tourque at 5300 rpm peak. I was running extremely lean due to a oxygen sensor was bad after testing it through data master, the A/F was at 16.3:1 . Also, it seems three rockers came loose after hitting the high rpm. three started ticking back, sounded like a diesel truck underneath.

I had three push rods moved out of the cavity in the rocker arm and stuck on the side, outside of the cavity. I fixed them all today, went for a drive and then tightened the poly lock allen fitting down even harder, no way thier coming loose this time. Anyways, I thought it sucked for the mods I have. I am hoping since I replaced the O2 sensor today i'll get at least 280 rwhp. The car was not going into closed loop when I had the bad O2, im also gonna change the fuel filter.

What do you guys think the dyno numbers will be next time?

My numbers sucked too. I dynoed 261/297 with my mods. I'm replacing my valve cover gaskets this week so I'm checking my rockers and pushrods while I'm in there. I had no A/F so I dont know how bad it is. This was a mustang 1750 dyno, was your dyno on a mustang dyno or dynojet?

This was on a dyno jet, I was extremely disappointed especially after telling the guys all the work I had done to the car, it was embarrassing. First time I dynoed with out A/f and I knew my o2 was bad so I told them to hook up the sesnor, and it was extremly lean and not going into closed loop.

Headers, rockers, exhaust and CAI on a 95 M6? I'd guess 270~280.

You should hit 290 rwhp / 323 rwtq with your mods, with everything working right.

My dyno numbers are in my sig, but I don't have 1.6 RR's.

Looks like you have a good set of components. Get the bugs worked out and you'll be fine.

You should be around 300rwhp (just under) with your mods. From what it sounds like, you had serious problems. I am not suprised your dyno numbers sucked butt..lol .

Get it fixed and you will lay down ~295rwhp.

Thanks for the encouragement guys, im really looking forward to dynoing again after fixing these rockers and replacing the O2, it feels a lot more thrusty now when I get on it. I went out tonight to test everything out and was going about 30-40mph next to a white ls1 z28, he revs his engine and I just let her rip and so did he and I got about 4 cars lengths on him and shut off.

We both then hit a stop light and I ask him if he wants to go again and he nodded. So light goes green, no one around, he guns it, and I spin out in first, then out in second, then chirp third, he already has like 3-4 car lengths and we both cut off at about 70mph. I need some drag radials, he had the advantage since he was an auto and im on some worn out street tires.

Was a good sport I gave him the thumbs up and pulled over to check the engine if I had any rocker noise and everything was fine. Man I love these tourque monsters.

Don't get wrapped around dyno #'s. How your car performs at the track is the true test.

I just dynoed this weekend and pulled 254rwhp with just an SLP 2OTL catback and the stock tuning, and my car is auto. After Vince McCauley did the tuning, he got it to 265rwhp (and bumped up my torque by 30ft lbs in the midrange!!).

I totally did not expect it to be as strong as it was stock, I figured it would've been 240, even with the catback. Although it had an air leak at the intake elbow which caused it to run lean (14:1) so that's why my car has always run such strong quarter mile times for stock. It's going to run even stronger now though!

i dyno'd 244rwhp/275tq with only a catback and 80k miles on everything. bad o2's as well. i thought it did what it should. cant wait to get to the dyno next month. i'll have an all fresh tune up (plugs/wires/o2's) with some madz28 tuning, Long Tube Headers/Y-Pipe, no cats, cai and TB Bypass(which i dont think helps), LT4 KM, 160 t-stat. hopefully i hit around 280-290...hopefully.
