Dyno numbers inside

258RWHP
286 Torque

15 percent humidity

Mods:

93 TA A4
Moroso CAI
Magnaflow MUFFLER ONLY Not catback. Thats it.

How does that sound?

This was done on a Dyno Jet also that is supposed to be a strict dyno. Also I was running 87 octane.

That is all the information I can think of.

It sounds about right for a mostly stock A4 fbody but the torqe seems a bit low.

Nice numbers, now make a sig with your information so we dont have to ask everytime you post.

Some longtube headers might help your cause, but if you tranny is slipping enjoy the M6.

My stock 97 SS, M6, got 250wrhp and 290 ft/lb. So it doesn't sound that far off to me. On a dynojet also.

I never understand why people do that and then wonder why their track times suck or their numbers are low. Theres some guy on LS1.com in their LT1 section thats running 13s with an assload of mods and he keeps refusing to put anything better than 87 in cuz gas is expensive.

Don't mean to steal this thread but high octane being "better" is one of the great misconception. Lower octane fuel has more energy (BTU's) per gallon then high test. So, IF you can run low octane fuel without the computer retarding the igintion you will get more hp. Although this is probably not going to happen in an LT1.

I don't know the background on that but sounds interesting. it does explode easier so it might be better if you don't have detonation. Something i will think about but not apply in my car.

Re: Dyno numbers inside

z28sorr is right higher octane gas burns slower than lower octane gas the reason we need to use them in our cars is because of our compression ratio
