Dummy Light For Brake

Ok guys hopefully someone can help me. When I started my car this morning the dummy light for the brake was lighted up. I thought that maybe the e-brake had been slightly engaged so I made sure that is was fully down. The light stayed on. I also checked the brake fluid and it was slightly low but that didn't fix the problem either. I drove the car and the brakes are not locked up or even rubbing because there is no smell of burning brakes. I am assuming it has something to do with the e-brake since it isn't the abs light that is coming on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The "BRAKE" light serves two functions. One is the e-brake handle position. The other is to indicate unequal pressure distribution between the front and rear brake hydraulics. The two lines from the master cylinder go into a block on the side of the ABS unit, and there's a switch there to detect unequal pressure distribution. You may have a leak in one of the brake lines/calipers, or you may have air in one of the lines.

Thanks that is a good point. The car does feel different braking now and the uneven pressure of brakes fluid in the lines could be causing that feel. Any brake place should be able to tell though right? Anyways to check or other ideas? Thanks
