Dual intank fuel pumps?

Whats the deal with dual intank pumps. I noticed that racetronix does not list them on their site.

Are they a special order item?

How much do they cost?

Is anyone running them?

All opinions are welcome.

I currently have a twin intank pump that was made by my buddy for my car. The reason I have a twin intank pump is because I am blown. The way it works is that at 3lbs of boost or less I am running off one fuel pump. Whenever I exceed 3 lbs of boost the Hobb switch triggers the second pump. IMO a twin intank is not needed on a NA application.

I have seen pics of a dual setup, where can I get it? The Grand National boys have had this setup for a while now. One 340 liter pump is on the edge with 650 flywheel hp, on the edge= trouble. I want to be safe. And I do not want a noisy inline boost pump. I am also interested in this info. Normally aspirated combos can make enough power to need this setup.

I've seen pics of a dual walbro setup intank, but they were t-ed into the stock line. Would that still help volume that much going through the stock fuel line ?

The reasons I would like dual Intank pumps......

1) I would like the most quiet fuel pump setup possible that can support 550 - 650 rwhp, some of those other pumps are LOUD.

2) I have to install a new intank pump in the spring, so why not do it once and buy the biggest pump for the future.

3) With a little bit of tweaking I would like to hit 405 - 420 rwhp this summer and then add a small wet shot of nitrous (maybe 75). The following year (if the buget allows) I would like to stroke it to 396 and step up to a 200 - 300 shot.

4) If dual intanks will support 650ish rwhp, I can't see why it would not be a good choice for my current setup and my future goals.

I have heard that the Dual Intank Pump can support 700RWHP thru stock lines and like 850RWHP with aftermarket line.

It definetly would be a nice setup for you but you could probably just get away with running a 340LPH Walboro Pump and a Pump Volt Booster. I know Rich Krause was running 733RWHP last year with only a 340 Single Intank Pump and a Pump booster that boost voltage only when needed. That may be a cheaper option if you are interested and would be just as quiet to. You may want to PM Rich Krause to find out more.

For the Racetronix pumps you may want to contact Lonnie Pavtis at lpavtis@westol.com

Lonnie is now an Authorized Racetronix dealer and should be able to get you everything you need at a good price, I have done business with him many times in the past and he is EXCELLENT to do business with.

Thx,
Claude

I ment to say, a 255LPH PUMP, its a GSS340 Model number from Walboro. Racetronix has these pump and Lonnie sells them. I have one of these pumps in my car with a hard wiring kit, I was told my that this pump with a hard wiring kit can handle ~525RWHP, with a MSD boost a pump, it should handle a lot more, and I believe that is how Rich Krause made 733RWHP last year with 1 intank pump.

Sorry for any confusion.

Where you planning on running both pumps at once?

What choices do I have concerning the pumps?

Can I run both at the same time, all the time?

Run one NA and the other comes on with the nitrous?
