Dual cat vs. single cat on the dyno.

I noticed that in 96 they switched to dual cats and raised the horsepower from 275 to 285.I never really noticed any differences in e.t.`s or trap speeds (magazine tests) I was
just wondering if there has been any noticable increase in dyno testing? Not trying to start a war here,I just may be shopping for an LT1 for myself soon and want all the facts.

You probably wouldn't be able to tell the 10 hp difference, so whichever model year you get a better deal on, go with that one. 1995s are especially nice, OBD I and vented opti. But the 1997s have the nice looking interior. Ahh, decisions, decisions. Good luck to you buddy.

I don't think you'll see much, if any difference on the dyno. You'll see more of a difference wether it's an auto or manual transmission.

I do like my '97 interior, '97 5 spoke wheels, and the three toned taillights.

How about throwing some flp longtubes on with their cats. You'll see a big difference then.
