i got my car scanned today and the codes are....p1351,p0400,p0161,p1416.. the only 1 i know is the p0400 and is the egr and im not tripping on that much cause im get the pcm tuned out for egr,air and a few other things. so know i need to know what them other codes r? thankz anthony

hey i just found out what they are.the one 1 bothers me is 1351,ic open circuit what does that mean?can someone help me.the car runs beautifull no missing shakeing spudding or anything what can it be?

 

Clear the codes and see if P1351 comes back. It may be intermittent. Open means it was not making a connection at some point (even for a moment).

 

ok thankz ill clear the codes morrow...now ok the air pump is still and the car now the codes came up still i delete it and just leave the fuse in there thats all i need to do right.p0161 is a rear 02 sensor passenger right the car as aftermaket exaust so maybe that has something to do wit that.

 

1 more thing my turn signal lights on the dash dont blink and either do they blink outside the car but they just stay lite. now i put the flashers on and they all blink all 4 lights 2 front 2 back.ok now is the flasher under the dash bad or what? im gonna change the bulbs morrow and see what is up

 

 

P0400 - If EGR was correctly "tuned out", you shouldn't be getting a code for it.

P0161 - the code is for a faulty heater circuit on that sensor. Could be a wiring fault problem, not supplying the required 12V to the heater.

P1416 - Its only the OBD-I PCM where you can unplug the AIR pump have not get a code. In OBD-II, the PCM cycles the pump, and looks for air flow in both banks of the exhaust. If your pump isn't working, you'll get this code. Again, this is something that needs to be "tuned out".

 

hey i know im a get them tuned out the car. as for as the turn signals the e-flasher work blink and all and when i turn on my blinker left or ight the come on and stay on so is it a the turn signal flasher

 

Why don't you repost the turn signal problem on "General F-Body Tech & Info"..... it doesn't belong here on "LT1/LT4 Engine Tech".

You might also want to mention which of the two cars in your signature you are having problems with, when you post there.

 

i got everthing fixed the problem with my turn signals there were about a half of a gallon of water in there.i changed the flasher and cleaned the socks,new bulbs and presto i have blinkers and all lol. as for the codes i disconnected the battery and took out pcm batt fuse out for like 20 to 30 mins,the SES light came back on i hooked up the scanner it says no error codes but the SES is still on possible stored codes from the egr and air maybe? BTW all these work is on my T/A. thanks yall for all of ya'lls help!
