Question DTC code

Does anyony know what this means MALF 37: Brake switch stuck on. What does this do? Thanks

TCC -- Transmission Converter Clutch, check your neutral start switch In the Haynes manual chapter 6- section 12.....

It has to do with the brake switch (at the pedal) being on (open) for specific amounts of time under specific vehicle speed conditions. If you ride your brake you will get the code. IF there is a problem with the switch or wires you will get the code. The switch is normally closed. When you push the pedal, it opens the circuit. If the circuit is open for specific conditions then DTC 37 will be set.

One more thing, it does affect the TCC/Shift interrupt. There are two other contacts on that switch that are normally open for the brake lights.

Mounted at the lower hole of the brake pedal bracket. Auto trans has 2 connectors, manual has one, same switch for both. The wire from it is lt. blue/black stripe. It is fed from fuse 9 in the IP panel and that wire is pink.
