dtc 48

recently off and on sometimes my check engine light comes on. usually only stays on for a few seconds or 1 min and then turns off.
scanned for codes and its giving me dtc 48: MAF system fail.

im just wondering what would cause this intermittent problem? is it my MAF or maybe a ground or wiring issue?

if people can give me some good things to look for that would be great.

Re: dtc 48

Measure pink wire to black/white wire. Should be 12 volts.
With connector off MAF, key on engine off KOEO, measure yellow wire to black/white wire should be 4 to 6 volts.
If all checks out either the connection to the MAF is bad or the MAF is bad.
Look and see if the wires are intact.
