Question Dtc 41 & 42

Howdy all,
I'm throwing the ignition control open and ignition control closed codes. How can you have both codes, isn't one the opposite of the other? The car starts and runs great. It has 103K miles, could this be linked to the dreaded opti? Should I disconnnect the batt and reset codes to see if it comes back? Anybody have any recommendations?
Thanks,
Gabe

Have you checked the wiring and connectors between the ignition module and the PCM. If all is fine there, it could be the ignition module or the opti.

Yep, the wiring is all good as best I can see. I reset the battery, started the car around half a dozen times and the codes didn't return. If I understand code 41 & 42, the car shouldn't start if this condition exists because it shuts off fuel injection. At no point has the car not started. I think it was a fluke.
Thanks,
Gabe
