dtc 18

just scanned my car and this stored code came up. I looked at the service manual and am following the diagnostic guide bui don't have a injector tester which it seems like is required. i tested the resistance with my ohm meter or each injector and all are between 12.7-12.9. I'm going to pick up a noid light and try the tests it allows but i was wondering if there were any common causes of this DTC i should look for?

Check for +12V on the pink wire on each injector harness clip. There should be a constant +12V on the wire, with the PCM supplying the ground on the color/black wire to fire the injector. There are two fuses, one for each bank of injectors. Check those if you don't have power to the pink wires.

I checked the fuses and their both good. It was the first thing on the list in the service manual. it was one of the only things i could check. I'll check the voltage anyway.

Helps if you tell EXACTLY what you already did in the first post, so people don't waste their time with suggestions that you have already tried.

If it is a history code, you are chasing your tail. There is no trouble present for you to chase.

It is a stored code. Should i just clear the codes and wait to see if it comes back? Is there anyway to test for an intermittent problem?
