Driving me nuts...weird problem - stalling on highway
Well I thought I finally had all my little kinks worked out and ready to enjoy the summer but unfortunately thats not the case. Enough ranting so here is the problem.
Cruising on the highway usually in 5th gear oddly enough, the car will get a very sudden and noticeable hard miss it seems. It happens for a split second and is then usually followed by the car shutting down. I try to refire when I get it stopped but not happening. I wait a minute or two...try again and boom fires right up like nothing happened.
It happened 3 times on the way home today and I can't discern what the problem is. I got the car home and all seems just fine. I recently took the car to a place to get the trans fluid level checked and they used brake cleaner on the bottom of my trans because it was covered in oil from a rear intake manifold leak thats been since fixed. Could a sensor(s) gotten a bit wet and cause the shutdown. The same issue happened a couple years back and we accidently fixed it by replacing the crank sensor. The guy didn't spray up in the front of the engine so again...need some help. Thanks.

no codes. fuel pressure is fine and its getting spark. Just seems like a computer issue or sensor issue. Going to throw in a new crank sensor and see if that clears it up.
Anyone else?
