Driveshaft/UJoint? seals leaking...
Hey guys, when I had the car at the dealership last weekend for a lube/oil & filter change, they mentioned that the driveshaft/UJoints seals were leaking on both ends...
I'm not sure how this stuff works, but where are the seals?! On the UJoints themselves? Or in the tranny/rear-end?
Can I just swap UJoints? Or whats the deal there, hehe
Also, I get a slight knocking noise when I start off... I'm fairly sure this could be attributed to bad UJoints? I'm hoping thats what it is, and not the rear-end!
1350 Series UJoints I believe are the correct replacement? I have a stock driveshaft that came with my 95 Z-28.
Thanks!!
Jeff

They are probably talking about the seal that goes into the rear end. Mine leaks too but I never really think anything of it. I probably should get it replaced though. That clunking during acceleration could just be your transmission mount. Its like $8 and 15 mins to replace.
Can tranny mounts sound like a clucking in the rear of the car? Or would it seem to come from the tranny area itself?
I'll have to get under there and check it out..
thanks man!
