I agree it was one of the few things that I've done on an LT1 that were actually easier than I thought.

1. Short bolt with two washers and some sealant. Requires grinding down back of TC cover so that it is flush.
2. Freeze plug.
I'm going to try number two. If I cant find a plug of the proper diameter I'm then going to go with option 1.

can the hole just be left open without plugging it up or will that cause problems?? not the timing chain cover one the other one where the water pump drive was mounted
