Drive shaft weight???
Drive shaft weight???
I know stock weighs about 17#'S. Mark Williams weighs 19#'s. Anybody got the specs on the Denny's Nitrous ready drive shaft??? Or how about the Denny's Heavy Duty metal matrix aluminum???
The guy at Denny's said he didn't have the weight off hand and that the 1350 yokes alone weigh as much as the stock shaft. Let me know what you think???
Thanks...........Lys

I do definetly agree that this is not the place to shave a few pounds in order to have less strength. Yet it is a rotating mass and the more weight saved the better. The parts I am comparing have been proven performers on 8 second drag cars. I am just curious the actual weight? Either Mark Williams or Denny's I am sure will be up to the task of my 600rwhp. Yet if the Denny's is twice as heavy then the Mark Williams is, I would pay more for the weight reduction.
Just curious of the weigths of the Denny's???

I spoke to Jim at Denny's and he told me the Nitrous ready steel drive shaft weighs 19#'s and the Heavy Duty metal matrix 3.5 inch aluminum one weighs only 12's.Can anyone verify either of these weights???
He said the Aluminum one will hole 5000rpm clutch dumps on slicks with the 600+rwhp I am laying down even though the car weighs over 3600lbs.
What do you guys think.....the Nitrous reday steel one is $335 and the Heavy Duty 3.5 inch aluminum one is $450.
What would you go with???
