drive belts
what kind of drive belts is everybody using b/c after my belt needed to be replaced which was the gator one which is the quiet one, i went to autozone and asked them for gator one they told me it was discontinued and they said ac delco is the quiet one.
after a couple days later the belt made an annoying noise and drove me nuts, then i went to pepboys and got the same exact one and asked them to make sure its a quiet belt. and after the pepboys belt same thing noise again.
last straw went to the chevy dealer and the guy told me that they carry the original/stock belt for my camaro, and that autozone and pepboys dont carry the right aftermarket parts for the camaros, and he is right after buying the belt from the dealer no noise stupid autozone and pepboys, every time i buy from the dealer no issues, and when i buy from the other two mentioned always giving me problems

Re: drive belts
Goodyear has consolidated their belt catalog (Dayco and others too) and eliminated some belts that could be replaced by belts that are a few millmeters longer or shorter so exact length replacements aren't available in every instance. The original belt number may no longer exist but there will be an alternate belt number for use.
