Question Double springs on LT1 heads?

Very shortly the engine in my '93 Z will be coming apart for a head/cam swap. I'm going with the CC305 cam with 1.6 rockers. Comp. suggests their 986 double springs for the .544" lift. From what I've been told, the springs on the '93 LT1 centered on the inside diameter of the sprind instead of the outside like typical small block Chevys. What needs to be done to make 1.46" outside diameter springs work on my heads?

This type of question should be posted in LT1 Tech.
Moving now, thank you.

I'm not sure on the 986 springs, but I had to have my heads cut for the 987s. I'm sure someone can enlighten us about the 986s, but if you do have to have them cut any machine shop should be able to take care of it for you.
