Well I mashed the gas right after I put it in drive expecting to do a burnout. Then I hear clank clank clank

I dunno know about you, but it don't take much to do a burnout in our cars. Do you have a 6 banger or something. I can honestly say that I did that once in a 6 banger and broke my tranny mount. It was dumb, but not as dumb as doing it with 275+ lbs/ft of torque..

if you need to do that to do a burnout you need a tune up or something. That LT1 is hurtin

No I didnt have to do that to do a burnout. I was backing out on a highway and wanted to get going fast. I changed the mount, it was easy. I got a lifetime mount at autozone for $30.

Even when you're going slow it puts unecessary strain on the tranny. I also read that its especially hard on the OD sprag to go from reverse to drive when you're still rolling backwards even if its only slightly.
