Have you actually talked to Larry Hamilton (co-owner) about this? I strongly recommend you get in contact with them tomorrow via e-mail or phone as they'll make this right by you...

BTW, my buying experiences from Speed Inc have been exactly the opposite...I just had them order me some parts for my LT1 that I later found out today I couldn't even use on my car (I was the ONE who gave them the wrong part #'s) and they didn't even charge me regardless of whether the manufacturer would take them back...They're a good business as I live right by them and deal with them almost monthly, LOL.

speed inc. jerks you around so much. I called them twice about porting my intake with a 58 mm throttle bore (since I live in the area) and both times they quoted me at $150 and then I drove 45 mins to drop the thing off and the guy prints out a bill for $276!! I was so pissed off about that one... I couldve just shipped that out to lloyd and ended up with a better ported intake for less cash including shipping both ways.

 

Ok, so everyone can get the facts.

-Order placed 5/4/05 under his mom's name for a Walbro Universal In-tank pump kit. Order shipped next day and was received.
-This is the EXACT SAME pump kit that everyone sells, a Walbro GS340 255L in-tank pump kit, but it says Universal Mustang pump on the box. Everyone who has ever bought one can confirm that you have the correct part number.
-We have installed hundreds of these pumps, and I am sure there have been thousands installed by F-body guys around the world.
-He lies and tell us it was never installed and wants his money back because we sent him the wrong pump.
-We offer him a refund with a 20# restocking fee, even though it is against our policy of accepting returns on electrical items, and it is an order over 30 days. This policy is the industry "norm", and not just ours.
-He admits that in this thread, as well as here http://www.fastlouis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=34581
-He wants to return a part that is over 30 days old, electrical (which are non-returnable), AND USED (which he lied about)
-If the pump is defective we will exchange it, even though you ruined your creditibilty by openly admitting that you lied about it.
-You will not get ANY monetary refund from us PERIOD. IF you want to go and edit your post to remove the lie, it is too late, it was printed, and I will submit that to your mom's credit card company when you attempt the charge back.


Why did you lie? If the pump didnt work, we would exchange it. Instead, you call up screaming "you sent me the wrong pump and I dont need it anymore" BS instead of telling the truth. YOU INSTALLED IT, it either wasnt your problem, you fried the pump by running it low on fuel, or it was defective. Since you paid for overnight shipping, then decided over a month later it was "wrong", I would have to think it worked for you initially.

I remember when you came in. You said we quoted $150 which is lower than what we actually pay our machinist to do it. You didnt know who you talked to, and frankly, I dont think anyone would quote you below what we pay.

That being said, took your word that you were mis-quoted, and still offered to do it for you at our cost, which is $200.

If this wasnt good enough for you, why did you decide to leave the intake with us? If you changed your mind, and dont want this done, let me know, and I will ship the intake to you at my expense.

I agree totally!!! I can't believe you have the *****, or lack of , to make a post about something you were totally in the wrong for!!! Grow up !!

 

I already went back and forth with you, or someone you work with over the phone. You told me it was my f*ck up and ther is no way one of your guys could make a mistake. I deal with just about every vendor but you guys now.

I have since spent thousands more dollars on my car. Most of it went to Combination Motorsports The BEST customer service out there.

 

I hope you get the bastards..
