Doing LT's Tomorrow!! Questions!!

well hopefully i will be doing my hooker long tube headers, and plugs/wires tomorrow since my cars already down and the front bumper is off so it might make it a little bit more easier. So pretty much the plan is to read the write up and go at it, take pictures of EVERYTHING and label them for when i put them back together and hope things fit right.

I've never done it before or anything like so i'm hopping that everything goes well and just had a few questions.

1st i was going to use this Link But was wondering if anyone had something else that is even more detailed. I would LOVE it if had pictures but if not then thats still ok. Mainly all i have to help me is myself and my Haynes menu. Also a friend but he will only help me with the little stuff.

Is it easier from the top or the bottom?

Also what all do i need to remove from each side? I'm hoping that i wont have to jack the motor up any.

As far as all the stuff i need can anyone give me a list of all the tools i will need?? As of right now i have a floor jack and 2 jack stands that go up to 21" that should do it right? Also if there is any tips that ya'll can give me please let me know.

Re: Doing LT's Tomorrow!! Questions!!

I recently did them on my car. You have to unbolt the nut near the steering nuckle so it can be moved outta the way. after its unbolted just slide it apart with a crowbar gently. You wont have to jack the mota up. both go in threw the bottom. but for the passenger side jack the car almost as high as the jack goes as if the tailpipes are touching the ground then push it up itll be a tight fit but should work. b4 installin anythin i would tape the bottoms of both headers with duck tape so they dont get all scratched up, i did this cuz mine were jet hot coated. on the passenger side i beleve the starter and knock senser has to be removed which is a mess cuz lots of antifreeze will come out so just drain it. if u run into any trouble just post again and ill try to help.
