Does it blow from in the engine bay out sdie or does it suck air from out side into the engine bay

 

it sucks the air through the radiator and blows towards the engine

 

most fans do both, they suck from one side then blow through the other

 

Congratulations, youve discovered how a fan works..... lol

 

I suggest you try the "paper towel test". With the cooling fan running, place a paper towel, (or a piece of TP) on the opposite side of the radiator from the fan. It will give you the answer you seek.

A more important question, once the paper has shown you where the air goes, is why does it go that way?

 

Along with, which direction does the air travel as the vehicle is moving forward? If some are not sure, stick your head out the window as the vehicle is moving... forward.

 

it would have been fine to test if it was working... the reason i ask is cause i am hooking up a switch to my moms car whos fan switch or whatever went out
