Dual Fuel Rail LT-1 setup...
Dual Fuel Rail LT-1 setup...
I've seen the write up on converting the single feed fuel setup on the LT-1 into a dual feed fuel setup... didn't seem like it cost much to do the mod... but are there any benifits to it? Is it worth the time and money to even try?
Re: Dual Fuel Rail LT-1 setup...
if you're making major HP then it would be worth it, but I don't see it benifiting a mostly stock car. Maybe if you're in the low 10's it would help, but that would be the cut-off point. I know a few guys running 9's on a mostly stock fuel system...255 pump, 2 inline pumps, and coresponding injectors...granted it all for the N2O. runs a 383 and a 300 shot. Lots of fun...pretty quick car, ran 11.20's on 20's..go figure..then went 9.8 on the 28" slicks.

Re: Dual Fuel Rail LT-1 setup...
I'm not going to a dual line setup right now because I don't need it, but I'm seriously thinking about welding AN fittings on the end of the rails and getting rid of the stock fuel line connectors which I find to be a PITA. After the fittings have been welded on going to a parallel setup would be an easy swap. I think it's a worthwhile modification especially if you're considering any kind of a direct port nitrous setup.
Re: Dual Fuel Rail LT-1 setup...
The reason I'm asking is because I've decided to go back to using nitrous again... to hold me over untill I can afford the FI setup I want...it seems the N20 market has really revolutionized itself in these past two years...
