Post Does anybody elses brakes do this??

About half way down on the pedal there is a "hard" spot. When I first got my car, I could easily lock up the tires and the ABS would "kick in." Then, it seemed like all of a sudden, they just didn't work as good and there was this hard spot that I never remembered feeling before. I now have 13" C4 brakes in the front, but the problem started when my brakes were still stock. My master cylinder was leaking out the back, but I have since rebuilt it. I have bleed the brakes many times, so I don't think there is air in the system, but I guess there could be. They don't "pump up" like brakes normally do if there is air in the system. I just don't think there is enough pressure going to my calipers. My friend has a guage that you can use to check the brake pressure, but I am not sure what it should be. Has anybody ever checked their pressure or know about what it should be? It's kind of frustrating because my car should stop A LOT better than it does. Thanks in advance.
